Doctor Strange" is a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film that was released in 2016. Directed by Scott Derrickson, the movie introduces audiences to Dr. Stephen Strange, a brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon played by Benedict Cumberbatch.

As the reluctant hero, Doctor Strange must confront Kaecilius and his zealots, facing mind-bending realities and mastering the Eye of Agamotto, a powerful artifact that controls time. In the climactic battle, Strange faces Dormammu in the Dark Dimension, using his wits and the time-manipulating abilities to trap the entity in an endless time loop until Dormammu agrees to leave Earth.
The film concludes with Doctor Strange taking on the responsibility of protecting the Earth from mystical threats and setting the stage for his future appearances in the MCU.
